I CALLED HIM, I CALLED HIM. He said he won’t be available until next week, and wondered if that was okay. I said, “oh, yes, my projects just go on and on… and on. There’s no end to them. Any time will be fine.” I didn’t dip him into the goat soup, he doesn’t suspect anything. When he gets here he will cry.

I started out today to drive to Bremerton, and shop at Grocery Outlet. By far too tired of eating Campbell’s soup, and cheese sticks, from Walmart.

I was wearing my Power Ring, and had a notion to take it to Bremerton and sell it at a pawn shop.

But then, I thought I’d stop by Rings ‘n’ Things and see how much it would cost to get a new stone in it.

The Power Ring is what I bought at a pawn shop in Morongo Valley, to prove that I had money and could buy a nice ring. It was $350 on a half-price sale. It has about 12 small diamonds along the side, it is gold and platinum, an older style, and a big tragic zircon in the middle. I always thought I’d get a nice big diamond when I was ready; but research showed that diamonds aren’t a good investment.

I stopped by Rings ‘n’ Things and talked myself into a nice pretty large garnet to replace the zircon. It is only $38 installed. So there it is. My power ring will have a large red stone, won’t be mistaken for a wedding ring, and I have for myself a very lovely piece of jewelry.

And this is because I’m feeling powerful, again.

And I didn’t get any food, so now, a scrap of hamburger from the freezer.

This morning, I got some Etsy shipments off, and I packed and shipped a giant, 50-lb box of artness to go to Art and Soul Gallery in Washington. If I got in another sudden frenzy like that, I could remove another 60 items from the house and actually fly free.

Once I got the big box in the mail, I realized that I could run one more errand, and go home and drink.

I went to the gallery, got all of my stuff except one bookcase; snagged an Olde English, and came home.

I told my goats, “I don’t care what any goat says. I’m going to drink. I’ll see you inside.”

So here I am loving up the computer. I can relax, now. I have items at the gallery in Bothell. I have Tamma’s Magic Mercantile, over $900 this month. I have heroic California Girl generating sales and money. Banker’s Suite in Astoria soon to sell my artwork.

I wrote to Susan of Art and Soul, “I can see the floor now, I can see the table top.”

Now it only remains to re-learn how to eat, and sleep. Cal-Girl and I are in a frenzy of creation, getting our little biznesses launched.

The free tree-cutting people are a hell of a deal, but they never show up. !!! Second day of them screwing around. If this happens tomorrow, I’ll tell them to go away.

People, much like paying for water in a bottle, I don’t believe in paying to have my cars washed.

I believe that, much like the wild animals, they should clean themselves. Like the tempestuous horse, like the crafty, waxy goat, the winds and rains should wash the car clean.

As a result, I think I have the filthiest vehicles in the Northwest. This would never happen in California. No mud, no moss.

“Me so happy! The boy at St. Vinnie’s on whom I have a crush has agreed to do work for me. Someone who works there told me he is excellent at construction and likes side jobs, so… woo hoo. I wonder if he’ll object to the French maid’s uniform…”

Seriously. He doesn’t have to wear one. I might have been wrong about him, he doesn’t seem to have turned on me. Besides, I can change my own damn diapers, thank you.

When I talked to him, he appeared to be very shy, nervous, yet enthused about working for me. He told me to definitely call him, I told him I definitely would.

I’m drinking my beer early, today. The tree people are coming in the afternoon.

I don’t see how I can lose with these tree people. They want the wood, I want the trees gone. They said that the trees will grow back. Not if 7 goaties can help it. The goats will eat everything that peeps out of the stumps.

I think I’m tired of my kids. After years of unbridled enthusiasm for them, right now they leave me cold. I’m sure it is just a mood.

I may have told you before, I had an entire year in the desert where I didn’t like my chihuahuas. They just didn’t do it for me. Didn’t like ‘em, didn’t want ‘em. As you know, there have been MANY times when I wanted my goats gone. URRRRRRRRRHHHH. Hard to live through those times.

But I NEVER get tired of my kids.

My daughter’s having a laser surgery for a precancerous condition. Am I supposed to care? I’m so tired of caring. I’m just taking a small holiday or break.

WHA? Who did this and why? Don’t guess I care.

I thought I saw John walking by my house the other day. John of the gallery, John of I liked him for a minute.

Not grouted yet, but I like them. I’ve been working like a bastard on these tiles. I have piles and piles of tiles. Only about 8 are grouted. I still hope for young men in frilly outfits to grout them for me.

I was watching Fellini’s 8-1/2 on TCM. Now I see that there IS hope. Consciousness has progressed enormously since the 60’s.

I still wouldn’t watch any modern movie. But Fellini sure is Old Hat.

He was not at work for 2 days.

Not the weirdest thing anyone has ever seen.

No… but it is something I sense. My dreams are always spot on in my relationships with men. I dreamed dreams about this. Don’t remember them precisely.

I can only say that I sense he has had a change of heart.

This happens often, with young men. They think I’m very sexy. They like me. And then finally they think it through and decide that they’re young and I’m a hundred. They look at the ramifications and implications, the consequences and so on. Changing an old woman’s diapers by the fire. Very romantic.

In life we often have to bring ourselves up short.
